#217 02-19-63 Award Miscellaneous Street and Other ImprovementsResolution No. 217 February 19, 1963 Member Scherer introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IATERIALS FOR DM CELLANEOUS STREET AND OTHER IMFROVEMENTS FOR 1963 BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota as follows: 1. Reg & Alt -------- It is found that the bids submitted by said bidders listed above are in all respects in accordance with law and with the published Advertisement for Bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engineer has recommended that said bids be accepted, and said bids are hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute contracts on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bids when the bidders shall have furnished contractor's bonds in the amount of the bids, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith all such cash deposts, bid bonds, certified checks or cashierts checks or money orders furnished by other bidders, a d to retain those furnished by said contractors until the execution and filing of said contracts and bonds in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected, 5. All plans, specifications and estimates in connections with such Miscellaneous Street and other Improvements for 1963 heretofore prepared by the Village Engineer and on file in his office are hereby approved. The Council contemplates the making of such improvements during the 12 -month period commencing March 1, 1963, and it is estimated that the quantities of materials and the equipment indicated above will be needed on such projects during said 12 -month period. 7. The action of the Village Manager in placing the above adver- tisement for Bids without a prior resolution of the Village Council, the form of said advertisement, and all actions taken in connection therewith, are hereby ratified and approved. Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Schaphorst and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Clerk.
