Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION
(Acceptance of Plat-
Witt's End)
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, pursuant
to due notice, has on this date conducted a public hearing on the proposed
plat, to be known ab Witt's End, of the following -described tract of land:
Tracts C, J and 1; Tract D, except that part
of the East 25 feet lying North of the extension
of the North line of said Tract C, all in Register-
ed Land Survey No. 752; and Tract G, Registered
Land Survey No. 752, except that part embraced in
Registered Land Survey No. 929.
WHEREAS, there are special circumstances or conditions affecting said
property so that the strict application of the provisions of the Platting
Regulations of,the Village would deprive the applicant(s) of the reasonable
use of his land, and
WHEREAS, a regular 50 foot or 60 foot street cannot be platted along
the Southerly boundary of said proposed plat because of homes now fronting
on Meadow Lane, and no land of sufficient width is available along the
Southerly boundary of said proposed plat to permit a roadway of sufficient
width, and
WHEREAS, a variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment
of a substantial property right of the petitioner(s), and
WIEREAS, the granting of the variance will not be detrimental of the
public welfare or injurious to other property in the neighborhood in which
said property is situated, and
WHEREAS, the Council, in making these findings, has considered the
nature of the proposed use of land and the existing use of land in the
vicinity, the number of people to reside in the proposed subdivision, and
the probable affect of the proposed subdivision upon traffic conditions
in the vicinity, and
WHEREAS, all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard,
Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
that a variance may be and hereby is granted to permit the acceptance of
said plat, notwithstanding its non-compliance with the Platting Regulations
as indicated, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, that said proposed plat be, and the same hereby is
accepted and approved, and the proper officers of the Village are
hereby authorized and instructed to sign the original and copy of
said plat and to do all other things necessary and proper in the prem-
ises.

The motion for the adoption of the foregpng resolution was seconded by
Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer, and Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Village Clerk.
