Member Schaphorst introduced and read the following written resolution
and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
(63 -SS -1)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session
Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain
proposed public improvement within the Village as stated in the form of
notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council ad-
vising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is
feasible and that it should best be made as proposed and not in connect-
ion with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the
improvement as follows.-

3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in they
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding
a public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein.
!a. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive
weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the
first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April
4, 1963 and the second of said publications to be in the paper dated
April 11, 1963. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin CouDty, Minnesota, will meet on April 16, 1963
at 8:00 P.H. o'clock, in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800
Golden Valley Road in said Village, for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the public improvement as herein designated:

The improvement consists of the construction of Storm Sewers and
Drainage Appurtenances to provice surface water drainage for the follow-
ing described areas:
Lot 7, Block 1, Cumberland Hills 2nd Addition
All of Cumberland Hills Addition.
Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Mary Hills Addition
Lots 7 through 10, Block 2, Mary Hills Addition
All that part of the Northeast Quarter (NE -41) of
toe Northeast Quarter (NE4) of Section 18,
Township 29, Range 24 lying Southwesterly of
Bassett's Creek Drive, Southeasterly of Cumberland
Hills 2nd Addition and Easterly of Cumberland Hills.
The North 300 feet of that part of the Southeast
Quarter (SE4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE -1) of
Section 18, Township 29, Range 24 lying West of
the East 618.7 feet thereof and East of the West
282.2 feet thereof.
The estimated cost of the proposed improvement is: $ 4,176.47
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953 as amended.
All properties within the Village which are benefitted by the im-
provement, including all property described above, are proposed to be
assessed for such improvement.
All owners of such properties are hereby notified to be present
at said public hearing and to make know their objections, if any there
be.

The motion for the adoption of the foreg6ing resolution was seconded
by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer, and Teresi; and
the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution
was duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested
by the Village Clerk.
