Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written resolution
and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Concrete Pavement with Integral Curb - 63 -CP -3, 6, 7)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Concrete
Pavement with Integral Curb (63 -CP -3, 6, 7,) Improvements within the
Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project,
has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the
proposed Concrete Pavement with Integral Curb Improvements are feasible
and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other
improvements as may be and constitute part of 63 -CP, and be ordered for
construction in 1963, and has given its estimated cost of the improve-
ments hereinafter described as follows:
Total Cost of Improvements: 100,625.18
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding
a public hearing on the proposed improvements as described therein.
4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice
of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two
successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the'.
Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper
dated April 25, 1963, and the second of said publications to be in the
issue of said paper dated May 2, 1963. Such notice shall be in substant-
ially the following form;

63 -CP -3, 6, 7
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on May
7, 1963 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden
Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on proposed improvements.

The proposed improvements and the costs as estimated by
the Village Engineer are as follows:
63 -CP -3
Concrete Pavement with integral curb on Zane Avenue North from
Wynwood Rd. to the North Village Limits; on Lamplighter Lane,
from Zane Ave. No. to the North Village Limits; on Manchester
Drive, from Lamplighter Lane to Brunswick Ave. No.; on Bruns-
wick Ave. No., from Wynnwood Road to the North Village Limits;
on Heritage Circle from Brunswick Ave. N. to Cul -de -Sac; on
Wynnwood Road, from Zane Ave. No. to Douglas Drive.
COST $77,240.02

Glenwood Ave. to east line of Trach's 2nd Addition.
COST $18,820.28
63 -CP -7
Concrete Pavement with integral curb on Zane Ave. No., from
Westbrook Road to Wynnwood Road.
COST $? 4,564.88
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision
on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to
proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota
Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the
improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements
as set forth in the above descriptions, including all property
within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described
above and also including all railroad property and/or railroad
rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described
areas.
All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon
the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present,
at said public hearing and to make known their objections to
these proposed street improvements if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded
by Member Teresi, and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer,
and Teresi; and the following voted against the same- None, where-
upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
