Member Schaphorst introdueed the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS
ON BOND QUESTION SUBMITTED
AT SPECIAL ELECTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, that the special election held in and for said
Village on May 14, 1963, has been in all respects duly conducted pur=
suant to notice thereof duly posted and published, and the returns
thereof have been canvassed by this Council in accordance with law,
and it is hereby found and determined that the votes cast upon the bond
question submitted to the electors at said election were as follows:
Shall the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley be authorized to borrow money and issue its
general obligation bonds in an amount not exceeding
$250,000, for the purpose of construction and
equipment of a municipal outdoor swimming pool?
Votes YES 661
Votes NO 1511
Spoiled, Blank or Defective Ballots 2
Total Votes 2177
and said proposition, having received less than a majority of the votes
case thereon, is hereby declared to have not carried.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Scherer, and on roll call, there were Four Ayes and No Nays, as
follows: Flannagan, Aye; Schaphorst, Aye; Scherer, Aye; Teresi, Aye; where-
upon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the
Acting Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
