#252 05-21-62 Provide Public Hearing Public Improvements70 Resolution No. 252 May 21, 1963 Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Lateral Water Main Improvements, 63 WME-42, 44, 56, 69, 71, 721, 76, 71, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 85, 87, 88, 9o, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 97) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Lateral Water Main Improvements (63-WML-42, 44, 56, 69, 71, 72, 76, 77, 78, 79, 81, 83, 84, 85, 87, 88, 9o, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 97) within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the pro- posed improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection with such other improvements as may be and constitute part of 63 WML, and be ordered for construction in 1963, and has given its estimated cost of the improvements hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of improvements: $197,793.78 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two suc- cessive weeks in the St. Louis Park Dispatch, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 13, 1963, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 20, 1963. Such Notice shall be in substantially, the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Lateral Water Main Improvements 63-W'ME-42, 44,56, 69,71,72,76,77, 78,79281,83,84,85,87,88,90,91,92,93,94,95,97) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on July 2, 1963 at 8:00 otclock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements, consisting of the construction and installation of Lateral Water Main Improvement and subsequent street repair and replace- ment. The Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvement will be $197,793.78. Dr. to Duluth St. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, annesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
