#258 06-04-63 Order Public ImprovementsResolution No. 258 June 4, 1963 Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (63 -LF -11 2, 3, 5, 65 75 81 9, 105 11) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 8:00 otclock p.m. at the address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council has consulted the views of all persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to proceed with the construction of certain proposed public improvements for said Village, in accordance with the description of said improvements contained in said notice, except as follows: 63 -LF -8: On Knoll Street from Rhode Island to Sumter Avenue North. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (63 -LF -1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 4, 1963, at 8;00 otclock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed Lateral Sanitary Sewer improvements. The Village Engineer estimated that the entire cost of the improvements will be: $124,526-72 The area to be served will be as follows.- All ollows. All that property which may be served by Lateral Sanitary Sewer installed on the following streets and easements and all that property abutting on the following streets and easements:. 63 -LF -1. On Florida Ave. No., from Medicine Lake Road to the South line of the Nort)i one-half (I 2) of the Northeast Quarter (NEI) of the Northeast Quarter (NEI) of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21; and the Northeast Quarter (NEI) of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21. 63 -LF -2. On Heritage Circle, from Brunswick Ave. No. to Cul -de -Sac. 63 -LF -3. All of Hippts Graceful Plaza Addition; All that part of Government Lot 3, Section 28, Township 118, Range 21, lying West, Southwesterly, East, and North of Hipp's Grace- ful Plaza Addition; on CSAH No. 66 from T.H.100 to Bassett Creek. 1 Resolution No. 158- June 4, 1963 63 -LF -5. On Unity Ave. No., from the North line of Greenview Terrace Replat to Greenview Lane. 63 -LF -8. On Knoll St. from Sumter Ave. No. to Quebec Ave. No. 63 -LF -9. On Dawnview Terrace from T.H. 100 to the line of Lot 7, Block 4, Woodlawn Park Second Addition. 63 -LF -10. On Olympia St. from Kelly Drive to Pennsylvania Ave. No.; on Oregon Ave. No. from Olympia St. to the South line of Olympia Oaks Addition; on Pennsylvania Ave. No. from Olympia St. to the South line of Olympia Oaks Addition. 63 -LF -11. On Western Ave., from Winnetka Ave. to Ridgeway Road; on the Easterly extension of Western Ave. from Ridgeway Road to Louisiana Ave.; on Quebec Ave. So. from Western Ave. to Ridgeway Road; on Rhode Island Ave. So. from Western Ave. to Ridgeway Road. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to these proposed street improvements if any there be. It is hereby found and determined that said public improve- ments are feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and not in connection with some other improvement ( the Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems advisable to do so.) 3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid out of special assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing. 4. The Village Engineer, the Engineers for the Village, are here- by designated as engineers for the construction of said proposed public improvements, and are hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to pre- pare final plans and specifications for said improvements and submit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest possible date. �A Mayor Attest: Village Clerk�f`y� The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Schaphorst and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
