Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION
OF CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Bituminous Surfacing 63 -BS -2, 3,45 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 20;
Concrete Curb and Gutter 63 -CG -1, 2, 4, 51 6, 9, 10)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 8:00 o'clock p.m.,
at the address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by
law, this Council has consulted the view of all persons interested and,
being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does hereby determine to
proceed with the construction of certain proposed improvements for said
Village, in accordance with the description of said improvements contained
in said notice, as follows, except:
63 -BS -3 West Cortlawn Circle from Western Avenue to the South line of
Cortlawn Addition 2nd Section.
63 -BS -8: Delete entire project.
63 -BS -13: Delete entire project.
63 -CG -6: Delete entire project.
63 -CG -1: Delete South Cortlawn to the south line of Cortlawn Addition
2nd Section.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENTS
(Bituminous Surfacing (BS) Concrete Curb and Gutter (CG)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 4, 1963, at
8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said
Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street
improvements.
The proposed improvements and the costs as estimated by the Village
Engineer are as follows:

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve-
ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in
the above descriptions, including all property within the described
areas, and/or abutting on streets described above and also including
all railroad property and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or
abutting on the above described areas.

All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the
streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said
public hearing and to make known their objections to these proposed
street improvements if any there be.

2. It is hereby found and determined that said public improvements
are feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report
and not in connection with some other improvement (the Council reserves
the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements
if it seems advisable to do so.)
3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid out of special
assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing.
4. The Engineers for the Village, Village Engineer, are hereby
designated as engineers for the construction of said proposed public
improvements, and are hereby authorized, ordered and instructed to
prepare finalplans and specifications for said improvements and sub-
mit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest pos-
sible date.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Schaphorst and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following members voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst,
Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed
by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
