Resolution No. 262 June 4, 1963
Member Scherer introduced and read the following written resolution and
MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PRONTIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN
PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Concrete Curb and Gutter; 63 -CG -12 and 13)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
ITLnnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Concrete Curb
and Gutter Street Improvements (63 -CG -12 and 13) within the Village as stated
in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has
reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed
improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connection
with such other improvements as may be and constitute part of 63 -CG, and be
ordered for construction in 1963, and has given its estimates cost of the
improvements hereinafter described as follows:
Total cost of improvements: $29,237.12
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed improvements as described therein.
4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive
weeks in the St. Louis Park Dispatch, the official newspaper of the Village,
the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June
13, 1963, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said
paper dated June 20, 1963. Such notice shall be in substantially the
f ollowing form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley; Hennepin County, NS.nnesota, will meet on July 2, 1963 at
8:00 Otclock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said
Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street
improvements.
The proposed improvements and the costs as estimated by the Village
Engineer are as follows:

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, annesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
descriptions, including all property within the described areas, and/or abut-
ting on streets described above and also including all railroad property
and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described
areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets
described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing
and to make known their objections to these proposed street improvements if
any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded
by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer, and Teresi; and
the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Village Clerk.
