#266 06-18-63 Provide Public Hearing Public ImprovementsResolution No. 266 June 18, 1963 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and M'CVED its adoption RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS11 (Lateral Water Main Improvements, 63-WML-67, 70, 73, 89, 98, 99, 100, 102, 103, 104, and 105) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Lateral Water Main Improvements (63-WML-67, 70, 73, 89, 98, 99, 100, 102, 103, 104, and 105) within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in con- nection with such other improvements as may be and constitute part of 63-WMG, and be ordered for construction in 1963, and has given its estimated cost of the improvements hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of improvements: $122,022.80 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two suc- cessive weeks in the St. Louis Park Dispatch, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 4, 1963, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated July 11, 1963. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (63 -BS -1, 63 -BS -25, 63 -CG -81 63 -GG -1) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on July 16, 1963 at 8:00 o'clock P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. Resolution No. 266 June 18, 1963 The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvements will be $16,416.73. The Areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve and the nature of the improvements are as follows: BITUTMINOUS SURFACING Grading and changing the grade, gravelling and the installation of paving, of bituminous surfacing or other suitable material in providing for surface water drainage in and for the following projects and streets: 63 -BS -1 Estimated Cost $4,274.96 Location: On 23rd Ave. No., from the West line of Richland Hills to Winnetka Ave. No. 63 -BS -25 Estimated Cost $1,529.40 Location: On Boone Ave. No., from Mandan Ave. to the South line of Glenwood View. CURB AND GUTTER The installation of curb and gutter of Concrete and/or other suitable material in and for the following project and street: 63 -CG -8 Estimated Cost $91901.11 Location: On 23rd Ave. No., from the West line of Richland Hills to Winnetka Ave. No. GRADING AND GRAVELLING Changing and establishing the grade, grading and gravelling, and making provision for the drainage of surface water in, on and for the following project and street: 63 -GG -i Estimated Cost $711.26 Location: On Olympia St., from Gettysburg Ave. No. to Flag Ave. No. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro- posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the author- ity granted by Chapter 398, NRnnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/ or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
