Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written
resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION
Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering
Advertisement for Bids on Certain Proposed Public Improvements
(Concrete Curb and Gutter 63 -CG -8 and 12, Rhode Island and Sumter)
WHEREAS, the Engineers for the Village have prepared plans and
specifications for Concrete Curb and Gutter Improvements (63 -CG -8 and
12, Rhode Island and Sumter) and have presented such plans and specifica-
tions for the approval of the Council, Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley:
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. That the Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted
in the S`t. Louis Park Dispatch and in the Construction Bulletin an adver-
tisement for bids for making of such improvements under such approved plans
and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once in the 3t.
Louis Park Dispatch and in the Construction Bulletin, shall specify the
work to be done, shall state that the bids will be opened on August 2,
1963, in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless
sealed and filed with the Village Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit,
money order, cashierts check, bid bond or certified check payable to the
Village Clerk for five per cent (5%) of the amount of such bid. Such
bids will be considered by the Village Council at its meeting of August 6,
1963, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the follow-
ing voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, Scherer,
and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon
said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
