#288 08-06-63 Award Improvements Bonds Series A and B125 Resolution No. 288 August 6, 1963 Member Flannagan then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RE SOLUT ION AWARDING SALE OF 32,975,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1963 SERIES A AND B BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, that the highest and best bid for the purchase of 32,975,000 Improvemnet Bonds of 1963, aeries A and B, of said Village, to be dated August 1, 1963, received pursuant to and complying with the terms of the notice of sale heretofore duly published, is that of PIPER, JAFFRAY & HOY-40M AND JURAN & MOODY, INC., of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, to purchase said bonds at a price of par and accrued interest plus a pre- mium of $ PAR, bonds maturing in the years set forth below to bear interest at the respective rates set forth opposite such maturity years: Maturity Years Interest Rate 1965/1969 3.305, 1970/1976 3.50; 1977/1982 3.60. 1983/1984 3.70% Plus additional interest of 1.20% per annum from 10/1/63 to 8/1/61. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said bid be and is hereby accepted, and the Mayor and Clerk are authorized and directed to endorse such acceptance upon a copy thereof and return the same to said bidder; and that the check furnished by the successful bidder shall be retained pending delivery of the bonds and payment of the purchase price, and the Clerk shall forthwith return the checks to other bidders. Mayor a 7 Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the fore7oing resolution was duly seconded by IfIember Teresi, and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- ing voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer and Teresi and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, and was signed by the Mayor, which was attested by the Clerk.
