#292 08-06-63 Award Contract 23rd Ave, Rhode Island Ave, and Sumter140 Resolution No. 292 August 6, 1963 Member Scherer than introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption. RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR Project No. 63 -CG -8 (23rd Avenue) and 63 -CG -12 (Rhcde Island and Sumter) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows; 1. It is hereby found, determined and declared, that the lowest re- sponsible bidder for work and materials necessary for the construction of Project No. 63 -CG -8 (23rd Avenue); and 63 -CG -12 (Rhode Island and Sumter) is as follows; Portion of Work Bid Name of Bidder on and Accepted Base Amount of Bid Hiawatha Cement Company All $17,944.20 and that the bid submitted by said bidder listed above is in all respects in accordance with law and with the published advertisements for bids, and with plans and specifications heretofore approved by the Council and now on file and of record in the office of the Village Clerk; and that the Village Engineer has recommended that said bid be accepted, and said bid is hereby accepted. 2. The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to make and execute a contract on behalf of the Village in accordance with the terms of said bid when the bidder shall have furnished contractor's bonds in the amount of the bid, conditioned as required by law. 3. The Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forth- with all cash deposits, bid bonds, certified or cashier's checks and money orders furnished by other bidders, and to retain that furnished by said contractor until the execution and filing of said contract and bond in his office. 4. All other bids are rejected. Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the fdllow- i nZ voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was de- clared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1 1
