Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT
(63 -BS -26)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct a certain proposed public
improvement within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Village Engineer has reported to the Council, advising it in
a preliminary way that the proposed public improvement is feasible and that
it should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other
improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvement as follows:
Total cost of improvement: $8,987.87
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein.
4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published in the St. Louis
Park Dispatch, the official newspaper of the Village, said apudbnotitioce to be
in their issues of August 8, 1963, and August 15, 1963.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on August 20, 1963,
8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said
Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street
improvements.
The proposed improvement and the cost as estimated by the Village
Engineer is as follows:
63 -BS -26 Bituminous Surfacing on Circle Down from Turner's
Crossroad to T.H. No. 100.

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village Which is benefited by the improve-
ment is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the
above descriptions, including all property within the described area,
and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all rail-
road property and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on
the above described areas.
All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets
described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing
and to make known their objections to this proposed street improvement if
any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Scherer and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and
Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon
eras said resolution as declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the
Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
