#304 08-20-63 Provide Public Hearing Public Improvements1. 56 Resolution 304 August 20, 1963 Member Schaphorst introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (64-WM-l0) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows.- 1. ollows:1. In conformity with the provisions of Chanter 398, Session Laws of Ilinnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Ilater Main Improvements (64 -WY -10) within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the project, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed and in connec- tion with such other improvements as may be and constitute part of 63-1r1M, and be ordered for construction in 1963, and has given its estimated cost of the improvements hereinafter described as follows Total cost of improvements: <"P5,911.74 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of hl:ding a public hearing on the proposed improvements as described therein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 5, 1963 and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 12, 1963. Such notice shall be in substantially the follow- ing form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IDIPROVEMENTS Lateral ?Nater Main Improvement 64-1r11-10 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 17, 1963 at 8:00 otclock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements, consisting of the construction and in- stallation of Lateral Water Main Improvement and subsequent street re- I pair and replacement. :: 64-WM-10 changed to 63 -Wry -110 Per Resolution #351 page 249 Resolution No. 304 August 20, 1963 The Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvement will be 5,911.7 . The area where said improvements will be constructed and which it will serve are as follows: All lots, tracts, or parcels of land abutting on the following cescribed street: 64 -!,TM -10 - On Hampshire Place, from Douglas i)rive to Florida Ave. No. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Tannesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described street, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to said proposed public improve- ment, if any there be.
