#320 10-01-63 Order Public Improvements 64-WML-12, 15198 Resolution No. 320 October 1, 1963 Member Schaphorst then introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS u * (64-WML-12 and 15) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. That at a public hearing held on this day at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the address of 7800 Golden Valley Road in the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, after notice of said hearing duly published as required by law, this Council has consulted the view of all persons interested and, being fully advised of the pertinent facts, does here- by determine to proceed with the construction of a certain proposed improvement for said Village, in accordance with the description of said improvements contained in said notice, as follows: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS Lateral Water Main Improvement 64 -WNL -12 & 63-WML-15 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on October 1, 1963, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvemnets, consisting of the construction and install- ation of Lateral Water Main Improvement and subsequent street repair and replacement. The Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvement will be $14,373.26. The area where said improvements will be constructed and which it will servv6 are as follows: All lots, tracts, or parcels of land abutting on the following described streets: 64-WML-12 - On Rhode Island Ave. No., from 6th Ave. No. to T. H. No. 55. 64-WHL-15 - On Knoll 5t., from Hampshire Ave. No. to Jersey Ave. No. -; 64 -�TT,,�-12 changed to 63- 112 Per Resolution #351 page 249 << 64-wm-15 changed to 63 WM-114 Per Resolution #351 page 249 D 1 1 J. l , 9 Resolution No. 320 October 1, 1963 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the im- provements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described area and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described street, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the street or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such public improvement, if any there be. It is hereby found and determined that said public improve- ments are feasible and can best be constructed as set forth in said report and not in connection with some other improvements (the Council reserves the right to consolidate said improvements with other public improvements if it seems advisable to do so.) 3. The cost of said improvements shall be paid out of special assessments to be levied as set forth in said notice of public hearing. 4. The Engineers for the Village are hereby designated as engineers for the construction of said proposed public improvements, and are here- by authorized, ordered and instructed to prepare final plans and speci- fications for said improvements and submit the same to the Village Council for approval at the earliest possible date. Attest: Village Clerk Mayor 0 Resolution No. 320 October 1, 1963 The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Scherer, and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schap - horst, Scherer, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passes and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1 D
