#330 10-15-63 Provide Public Hearing Public Improvement 64-BS-10214 Resolution No. 330 October 15, 1963 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (64 -BS -10) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain Bituminous Surfacing Improvement (64 -BS -10) within the Village as stated in the form notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Village Engineer, the engineer designated for the pro- ject, has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed improvement is feasible and should best be made as pro- posed and in connection with such other improvements as may be and constitute part of 64 -BS --and be ordered for construction in 1964, and has given its estimated cost of the improvement hereinafter described as follows: Total cost of improvements: $908.86 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of hold- ing a public hearing on the proposed improvement as described herein. 4. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of such publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 31, 1963, and the second of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated November 7, 1963. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PROPOSED STREET IMPROVEMENTb BITUMINOUS SURFACING (64 -BS -10) NOTICE I5 HkMEBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet November 19, 1963, at 7:30 otclock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed street improvement. 1 1 Resolution No. 330 October 15, 1963 The proposed improvement and the cost as estimated by the Village Engineer is as follows: 64 -BS -10 Bituminous Surfacing on Boone Ave. from Mandan Ave. to South line of Glenwood View. $908.86 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvement, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws for 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve- ment is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above descriptions, including all property within the described area, and/or abutting on streets described above and also including all railroad property and/or railroad rights-of-way located in or abutting on the above described areas. All owners of such property in the area and abutting upon the streets described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to this proposed street improvement if any there be.
