Resolution No. 342 December 4, 1963
Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT
PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SUBURBAN
SANITARY SEWER COMMISSION
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota.
1. It is hereby determined to be necessary and expedient to the
public health, safety, prosperity, convenience and general welfare of
the Village of Golden Valley and its citizens and residents to enter
into a joint and cooperative agreement with other suburban municipal
corporations for the formation of a Suburban Sanitary Sewer Commission.
2. A proposed agreement, to accomplish such purpose, a copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, is hereby approved
and adopted, and the Mayor and Manager and all other appropriate offic-
ials of this municipality are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement on behalf of this municipality and to take the steps
outlined in said agreement necessary to effectuate it, and the Clerk
is hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this
resolution and a duly executed dopy of said agreement to the village
clerk of the Village of New Hope, Minnesota.
3. The first member of the board of the Suburban Sanitary Sewer
Commission, established by said agreement, from his municipality, shall
be Gordon 0. Garis and his alternate shall be Donald Sorensen, both of
whom shall serve without compensation, provided, however, such member
of the board of directors, and his alternate, may be paid their actual
expenses necessarily incurred in the performance of their duties.
Adopted by the Village Council this ?nth day of December, 1963.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the follow-
ing voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Scherer, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolu-
tion was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his
signature attested by the Clerk.
