#380 05-05-64 Designate North Memorial Hospital for Ambulance Service3 AJL Resolution No. 380 May ,, 1964 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION DESIGNATING NORTH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE WHEREAS, the Legislature for the State of Minnesota did, at its 1963 session, by Chapter 738, enact legislation providing for county- wide emergency ambulance service through the facilities of the General Hospital, and WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners did, pursuant to the aforesaid legislation, promulgate a statement of public emergency ambulance service providing, in part, that none of the provisions con- cerning the availability of emergency ambulance service through the County General Hospital facilities should be construed so as to limit or preclude the use by municipal authorities of private ambulance service, and WHEREAS, it is the consensus of opinion of the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that the Police Department of this muni- cipality can obtain the most satisfactory ambulance service through use of the facilities of North Memorial Hospital, NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED that the Golden Valley Police Department and other re- sponsible Village authorities be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to use the emergency ambulance service of North Memorial Hospital, on a private basis, inasmuch as it appears that the highest level of and most satisfactory service can be obtained therefrom by the Village in connection with medical emergencies occuring within its limits. �1 1 Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution seconded by Member Garis and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following members voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor, and his signa- ture attested by the Village Clerk.
