adoption:
RESOLUTION
DESIGNATING NORTH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE
WHEREAS, the Legislature for the State of Minnesota did, at its
1963 session, by Chapter 738, enact legislation providing for county-
wide emergency ambulance service through the facilities of the General
Hospital, and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners did, pursuant
to the aforesaid legislation, promulgate a statement of public emergency
ambulance service providing, in part, that none of the provisions con-
cerning the availability of emergency ambulance service through the
County General Hospital facilities should be construed so as to limit
or preclude the use by municipal authorities of private ambulance
service, and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of opinion of the Village Council of
the Village of Golden Valley that the Police Department of this muni-
cipality can obtain the most satisfactory ambulance service through
use of the facilities of North Memorial Hospital,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED that the Golden Valley Police Department and other re-
sponsible Village authorities be, and they hereby are, authorized and
directed to use the emergency ambulance service of North Memorial
Hospital, on a private basis, inasmuch as it appears that the highest
level of and most satisfactory service can be obtained therefrom by
the Village in connection with medical emergencies occuring within
