Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA
STATUTES 429.041, Sub. 7.
(Trunk 'dater Main Improvements 64 -WMT -28, 30; Lateral
Water Main Improvements 64-WML-56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61;
Lateral Sanitary Sewer Improvement 64 -LF -13)
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications
for trunk and lateral water main construction, and has presented such
plans and specifications to the Council for their approval, Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into May 5, 1964 with
Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. for public improvements 64 -WMT, 64-WML and
64 -LF, and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price of
$482,196.81; and
WHEREAS on May 19, 1964 the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley did order construction of proposed public improvements 64 -WMT -28,30;
64-WML-56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61; and 64 -LF -13; and
WHEREAS the aforesaid improvements 64 -WMT -28, 30; 64-WML-56, 57, 58,
59, 60, 61; and 64 -LF -13 do not, on the same price basis exceed 250 of the
original contract price;
The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the
contract of May 5, 1964 awarded to Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. for 64 -WMT,
64-WML and 64 -LF, so as to include the additional units of work at the
same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements
64 -WMT, 28, 30; 64-WML-56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61; and 64 -LF -13, when the
said contractor shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount
of the additional work as required by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and
Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and
his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
