resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Bituminous Surfacing - 64 -BS -14,
64 -BS -25, 64 -BS -26, 64 -BS -27, 64 -BS -28,
64 -BS -29, 64 -BS -30, 64 -BS -31, 64 -BS -32,
64 -BS -33, 64 -BS -34, 64 -BS -35, 64 -BS -36,
64 -BS -37, 64 -BS -38, 64 -BS -41, 64 -BS -42)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session
Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain
proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council
advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improve-
ments are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed
and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given
his estimated cost of the improvements as follows:
Total Cost of Improvements: $69,988.41
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in
the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of
holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as des -
c ribed therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the
time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two suc-
cessive weeks in the St. Louis Park Dispatch, Suburban Press, the of-
ficial newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to
be in the issue of said paper dated June 25, 1964, and the last of
said publications to be in the paper dated July 2, 1964. Such notice
shall be in substantially the following form:
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota will meet on July 7,
1964 at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley
Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing
on certain proposed public improvements.

mated cost is as follows:

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the
proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under
the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as
amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improve-
ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in
the above description, including all property within the described areas
and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all
railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property lo-
cated in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the
streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present
at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such
proposed public improvement's, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Garis and, upon vote being taken thereon, the follow-
ing voted in favor thereof: Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolu-
tion was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his
signature attested by the Clerk.
