Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its
adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA
STATUTES 129.0111, SUBD . 7
(Proposed Water Main Improvements 611-WML-84, 64-WML-85)
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications
for trunk and lateral water main construction, and has presented such
plans and specifications to the Council for their approval, Now, There-
fore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley,
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into May 5, 196h with
Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. for public improvements 611 -WMT, 64WML and
611 -LF, and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price
of $1182,196.81; and
WHEREAS on October 6, 19611 the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvements
64-WML-811 and 611-WML-85; and
WHEREAS the aforesaid improvements 611-WML-84 and 611-WML-85 do not,
on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original contract price;
The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change
the contract of May 5, 1964 awarded to Ba.rba.rossa and Sons, Inc. for
611 -WMT, 611-WML and 611 -LF, so as to include the additional units of
work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public
improvements 611-WML-84 and 64-WML-85, when the said contractor shall
have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional
work as required by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Schaphorst and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nada.sdy, Schaphorst,
and Teresi; and the following voted against
the same: None, adopted, signed hereupon
said resolution was declared duly passed
y the
Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
