#444 10-06-64 Provide Public Hearing Street Lighting District No. 33442 Resolution No. 444 October 6, 1961 Member Flannagan introduced and read the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Street Lighting - District No. 33) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council ad- vising that in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvements: $360 per year. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in the Suburban Press, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 22, 1961, and the last of said publications to be in the paper dated October 29, 1964. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Street Lighting - District No. 33) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on November 4, 1961, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements, consisting of the erection and installation of street lights. The Village Engineer estimates that the cost of the improvements will be $360 per year. 1 1 1 Resolution No. 444 October 6, 1964 The areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they will serve are as follows: Western Terrace Hills Jessen's Addition Hope Chest Addition Baldwin's City View Registered Land Survey No. 371 In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which has benefited by the improve- ments is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above-described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
