Member Flannagan introduced and read the following written reso-
lution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Concrete Curb and Gutter
65 -CG -1, 55 61 8)
(Proposed Bituminous Surfacing
65 -BS -1, 3, 81 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14,
163 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposes to construct certain proposed
public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice
included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with
some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improve-
ments as follows:
Total Cost of Improvements: $72,801.56
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding
a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in the GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the
first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated March 25,
1965, and the last of said publications to be in the paper dated April 1,
1965. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

PROPOSED BITUMINOUS SURFACING
AND PROPOSED CURB AND GUTTER
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on April 6, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock
p.m., at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the
purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements.

The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improve-
ments will be $72,801.56.

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro-
posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the author-
ity granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
description, including all property within the described areas and/or

abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad
property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or
abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the
streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at
said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed
public improvements, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Teresi and, upon vote being taken thereon, the follow-
ing voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst and
Teresi, and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said
resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and
his signature attested by the Clerk.
