Member Garis introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION ORDERING DUST TREATMENT FOR CERTAIN STREETS
(65 -DA -10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 24)
65 -DA -10: Varners Circle.
65 -DA -11: On Olympia from Douglas Drive to Florida Avenue.
65 -DA -12: On Jersey Avenue from Glenwood to Laurel Avenue.
65 -DA -13: On Thotland Road from Lilac Drive East to Toledo Avenue North.
65 -DA -14: On Harold Avenue from Winnetka Avenue to Glenwood Avenue.
65 -DA -15: On Pennsylvania Avenue from Ridgeway Road to Wayzata Blvd.
65 -DA -16: On Regent Avenue North from 33rd to 34th Street.
65 -DA -17: On Rhode Island Avenue North from T. H. #55 to Harold Avenue.
65 -DA -24: On Idaho Avenue from Glenwood Avenue to Western Avenue.
Pursuant to the provision of M.S.A. 429,101 seq., and the provisions
of the Village Code, Section 127.01 et seq., IT IS HEREBY ORDERED AND
DIRECTED:
1. That the streets described above be improved by dust treatment,
including maintenance work incidental and necessary to such treatment.
Such work shall be done by direct purchase of the necessary materials
and the employment of day labor.
2. That Jhe Village Engineer shall keep a record of the cost of
such work done on each street, and shall report such information to the
Village Clerk.
3. That on or before September 1,1965, the Village Clerk shall
prepare an assessment roll, assessing all cost of such work reported
to him by the Village Engineer against each separate lot and parcel
of land benefited by such work, and shall present said roll to the
Village Council.
All of such special assessments shall be payable in a single
installment, with interest thereon at the rate of six percent (6%)
per annum.
4. That the Village Clerk is
transmit forthwith a copy of this

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Flannagan and, upon vote being taken thereon, the
following members voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Schaphorst,
and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon
said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the
Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
