Resolution No. 89 August 17, 1965
Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA
STATUTES 429.041, Subd. 7
(Proposed lWater Main Improvements,
65 1,94 29, 65 till 30, 65 WM 31 & 65 WM 35)
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications
for trunk and lateral water main construction, aid has presented such plans
and specifications to the Council for their approval, NOVI, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. 1,PHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into June 1, 1965, with
McDonald-Luben & Associates, Inc., for public improvements 65 WTM and 65LF
and awarded on a unit price basis with total contract price of
$224,729.20; and
1EREAS, on August 17, 1965, the Village Council of the Village
of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvements
65 NIM 29, 65 44 30, 65 WM 31 & 65 WM 35;
ti^TIIEREAS, the aforesaid improvements 65 WM 29, 65 1414 3o, 65 101 31,
and 65 WM 35 do not, on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original
contract price;
The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the
contract of June 1, 1965, awarded to McDonald-Luben & Associates, Inc.,
for 65 4M and 65 LF so as to include the additional units of work at the
same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements
65 d X 29,65 WM 30, 65 14M 31, & 65 Iv1M 35, when the said contractor shall
have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional
work as required by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Garis and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and Teresi;
and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Village Clerk.
