#126 11-16-65 Approve Contract Changes 65-WM-42,43192 Resolution No. 126 November 16, 1965 Member Flannagan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.041, Subd. 7 (Proposed Water Main Improvement ) (65-WM-42 and 65 -1 -JM -43) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for trunk and lateral water main construction, and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval, Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into June.l, 1965, with McDonald-Luben & Associates, Inc., for public improvements 65 WM and 65 LF and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price of $224,729.20; and WHEREAS, on November 16, 1965, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvement 65 WM-42 and 65 WM-43; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid improvement 65 I -JM -42 and 65 M-43 do not, on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original contract price; The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the contract of June 1, 1965, awarded to McDonald-Luben & Associates for 65 WM and 65 LF so as to include the additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements 65 1,44-42 and 65 WM-43, when the said contractor shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional wo as quired by law. ,�%0,k.,k),, Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Schaphorst, and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Schaphorst, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
