#210 08-16-66 Provide Hearing Improvements MSAS 28-387-02 & 3 Western AveResolution No. 210 August 16, 1966 Member Stockman introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (M.S.A.S. 28-387-02 & 03 - WESTERN AVENUE) (66 CG 12) 66 BS 51, 66 SS 4) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other im- provements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvements: $28,494.42 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 25, 1966, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated September 11 1966. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: (Official Publication) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT (M.S.A.S. 28-387-02 & 03 - WESTERN AVENUE) (66 CG 12, 66 Bs 51, 66 SS 4) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 6, 1966, at 8 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing for the improvement of Western Avenue to state -aid standards from Ridgeway Road to Winnetka Avenue. The Village Engineer estimates the entire cost of the improvements will be $28,494.42. D 323 Resolution No. 210 August 16, 1966 The type of improvements and areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they serve are as follows: CONCRETE CURB & GUTTER Number On From To 66CG 12 Western Ave. Ridgeway Road Winnetka Avenue BITUMTNOUS SURFACING 66BS 51 Western Ave. Ridgeway Road Winnetka Avenue STORM SEATER 66SS 4 Western Ave. Ridgeway Road Winnetka Avenue and including all lots and tracts of land contained within the following described line; Commencing at the intersection of the centerlines of Winnetka Avenue and Ridgeway Road, thence north along said centerline of Winnetka Avenue to its inter- section with the North line of Lot 61, Auditor's Subdivision No. 322 extended westerly, thence east along said north line of Lot 61, Auditor's Subdivision No. 322 to its intersection with the westerly line of Block 1, Stewart's Ridgeway First Addition thence north along said westerly line of Block 1, Stewarts Ridgeway First Addition to its intersection with the northeasterly line of Lot 15, Block 1, Stewarts Rodgeway First Addition, thence southeasterly along said northeasterly line of Lot 155 Block 1, Stewarts Ridgeway First Addition, extended, to its intersection with the centerline of Ridgeway Road, thence southerly and southwesterly along said centerline of Ridgeway Road to point of beginning. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which has benefited by the improvements is pro- posed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
