#212 08-16-66 Provide Hearing Improvemetns 66-SS-5Resolution No. 212 August 16, 1966 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEM_FXTS (Proposed Storm Sewer - 66 SS 5) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: I. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other im- provements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $56,592.14 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph h hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 22, 1966, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated September 29, 1966. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: (Official Publication) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PROPOSED STORM SEWER 66 SS 5 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on October 4, 1966, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purposes of holding a Public Hearing on a proposed public improvement. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvement will be $56,592.1L. The type of improvement and the areas where said improvements will be constructed and which it serves is as follows: 1 1 1 1 Resolution No. 212 STORM SFP FR 66 SS 5 August 16, 1966 Lots 5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13, 14,15,16,17,18,19 & 20, Block 1 Confer and Fricksonts Boulevard Gardens; Lots 5,6,7,16,17,18,19,20, Block 3, Confer and Fricksonts Boulevard Gardens; Lots 112,3,Zt,5,697,8,17,18,19,20921,22,23,& 21, Block 4, Confer & Erickson's Boulevard Gardens; Tracts A,C,L,G,I,&K, Registered Land Survey No. 112; and all that part of the southwest one-quarter (STT) of the Northwest one-quarter (NNf) of Section 5, Township 117, Range 21, 'described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest corn of Tract I, Registered Land Survey No. 412; thence north along the west line of said Registered Land Survey No. 412 to the Northwest corner of Tract C, thereof; thence east along the North line of saidTract C to Pennsylvania Avenue South; thence north along Pennsylvania Avenue South to the South line of Tract A. Registered Land Survey No. X12; thence west along the south line thereof to the Southwest corner of Tract A, Registered Land Survey No. 412; thence North along the West lineof said Tract A to Laurel Avenue, thence West along Laurel Avenue to Rhode Island Avenue South. Thence South along Rhode Island Avenue South to the North right-of-way line of Wayzata Boulevard (TH No. 12); thence East along the North right-of-way line of Wayzata Boulevard (TH No. 12) to the point of beginning and the Southeast one-quarter (SE -14) of theNorthwest one-quarter (NF1 of Section 5, Township 117, Range 21, exceptthe Fast ten (10) acres thereof. In conducting saidd public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is pro- posed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above desceiption including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights- of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
