#218 09-06-66 Approve Bids MSAS 28-387-02,3 Western AveResolution No. 218 September 6, 1966 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS (M.S.A.S. 28-387-02 & 03 - WESTERN AVENUE 66 -CG -1211 66 -BS -51, 66 -SS -4) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for proposed improvement of Western Avenue (Proposed M.S.A.S. 28-387-02 & 03 Western Avenue, 66 -CG -12, 66 -BS -51, 66 -SS -4) and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. That the Village Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS an Advertisement for Bids for making of such improve- ments under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published once in said publication no less than ten (10) days before the Last day for submission of bids, shall specify thL- work to be done, shall state that bids shall be opened and considered by the Village Manager, Clerk, and Engineer at 11:00 o'clock, A.M., on September 30, 1966, in the Council Chambers and that no bids shall be considered unless sealed and filed with the Village Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, money order, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Village Clerk for five per cent (5%) of the amount of such bid. Said bids will be considered by the Village Council at its meeting on October 4, 1966, at 8:00 o'clock, P.M., in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center. ATTEST: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Flannagan, and upon vote being taken thereon, the follow- ing voted in favor thereof: Flannagag, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1
