Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
OF CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Bituminous Surfacing - 66 BS 47, 66 RS 50 and
Proposed Concrete Curb & Gutter - 66 CG 11)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with
some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements
as follows:
$12,172.h5
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed public improvementb`as described therein.
4. The Clerk is auf4;orized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated September 22,
1966, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated September
29.1966. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HFRFRY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on Octover 4, 1966, at 8 p.m.
at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden. Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose
of holding; a public hearing on certain public improvements.
The Village Engineer estimates the entire cost of the proposed improvements
will be $12,172.h5.
The type of improvements and areas where said improvements will be constructed
and which they serve are as follows:

In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is
proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
description including all property within the described areas and/or abutting
on street or lines described above and including all railroad property and
railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above
described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas adn abutting upon the streets or
lines described abive are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing
and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if
any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by Member Flannagan and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Flannagan, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman,
and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon
said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor
and his signature attested by the Clerk.
