#261 12-07-66 Authorize Purchase Miller's Meadow404 Resolution No. 261 December 7, 1966 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Authorizing the Purchase of Certain Real Estate - Miller's Meadow) WHEREAS, it appears that certain real estate more particularly described below is needed for public purposes, specifically for park purposes, and WHEREAS, it appears that said property can be acquired through negotiated purchase at a price of Five Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen and No Hundredths Dollars ($5018.00), and WHEREAS, said negotiated price referenced above appears to be reasonable and equitable so that condemnation proceedings would not be warranted under the circumstances, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that certain real estate legally described as Lots 1 & 2, Block 1, Miller's Meadow is hereby ordered to be purchased and the Mayor and the VillEe Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary papers in connection with the acquisition of said real estate, the price to be paid therefor to be the sum of Five Thousand Three Hundred Eighteen and No Hundredths Dollars ($5,318.00), it appearing to this governing body that said property is necessary and desirable for the public purposes hereinabove set forth: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the acquisition of said property hereinabove described is authorized on the basis of a cash payment to be entered into between the Village of Golden Valley as Vendee and the present legal owners of said property as Vendors, said cash payment to be made as follows: In full on or before December 1966.
