#269 02-21-67 Determine State Aid Street AllotmentM Resolution No. 269 February 21, 1967 Member Teresi introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: A RESOLUTION REGARDING DETERMINATION OF STATE AID STREET ALLOTMENT BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota as follows: WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Aid Street Allotment is allocated to municipalities on the basis of the 1960 Decennial Census; and WHEREAS, the State Legislature authorized a special census for the Village of Golden Valley in 1965; and WHEREAS, the population of the Village of Golden Valley increased from 14,559 in 1960 to 21,248 in 1965, and WHEREAS, it is unjust and inequitable to base the State Aid Street Allotment on the outdated 1960 Census; and WHEREAS, a bill has been introduced in the Minnesota House of Represent- atives, presently designated as House File No. 377, which bill would amend Minnesota Statute 162.09 Subdivision 4, to permit the use of the 1965 special census in determining State Aid Street Allotment. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the Golden Valley Village Council goes on record in support of the above referred to legislative bill. Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, this 21st day of February, 1967. Attest: Helen Penniman, Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Garis, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
