#274 03-07-67 Provide Public Hearing MCSA 28-251-03, 67-CP-5, 67-CW-1Resolution No. 274 March 7, 1967 Member Garis introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (MCSA 28-521-03, 67 -CP -51 67 -GW -1 Hennepin Co. Project 6615) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising that in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvements: $247,310.99 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purposed of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated March 16, 1967, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated March 23, 1967. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: (Official Publication) NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT MCSA 28-521-03, 67 -CP -5, 67 -CW -1 Hennepin Co. Project 6615 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley will meet on April 4, 1967, at 7:30 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of improvements will be $247,310.99. The type of improvement and the areas where said improvements will be constructed and which they serve are as follows: 1 1 1 Resolution No. 274 March 7, 1967 Grading, base, storm sewer, concrete paving, traffic signal system on Douglas Drive from a point approximately 200 feet south of St. Croix Avenue to Medicine Lake Road. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953 as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above des- cription including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas lines described above are hereby notified ing and to make known their objections to if any there be. Robert M.
