#280 04-04-67 Authorize Sale Lot 65 Audtior's Subdivision No 322Resolution No. 280 April 4, 1967 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION (Authorizing the Sale of Lot 65 Auditor's Subdivision No. 322) WHEREAS, it appears that the following described property now owned by the Village of Golden Valley to -wit: That part of Lot 65, Auditor's Subdivision No. 322 lying north of the south 225 feet thereof is no longer needed by the Village for public purposes, inasmuch as the same serves no valid public use at the present time and does not appear feasible for public use in the future, and WHEREAS, it appears that said property as more specifically described in the preceding paragraph is now lying vacant without being used by the Village and that the Village is receiving no tax revenue therefrom, and WHEREAS, it appears that said property as hereinabove described was not acquired by dedication and is not held in trust in any way, and WHEREAS, it appears that it would be in the best interests of the Village of Golden Valley to sell and convey said property for a valuable consideration, and WHEREAS, the Village has received a negotiated offer to purchase said property from the Reverend Sylvan Lange for the sum of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and No Hundredths Dollars ($6,750.00) plus costs incidental to the sale and closing thereof, which offer appears to be a fair and reasonable consideration for said property, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley that inasmuch as the property hereinabove described was not acquired by dedication and is not held in trust in any way, the same be, and hereby is, declared to be no longer needed for public purposes, and the proper officers of the Village are hereby authorized and instructed that in consideration for the sum of Six Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and No Hundredths Dollars ($6,750.00), plus any costs incidental to the sale and closing thereof, by negotiated offer received in connection with said property, said officers are to deed and convey said property as hereinabove described to the Reverend Sylvan Lange. Attest: �%�/ Mayor Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the sarre: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
