Resolution No. 283

Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS"
(Proposed Lindsay Street MSA 28-409-010 67 -CP -1 and
Zane Avenue MSA 28-408-010 & 020 67 -CP -2)
WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications
for proposed concrete paving on portion of Lindsay Street and Zane Avenue
(Proposed NSA 28-409-010 67 -CP -1 and MSA 28-408-010 and 020 67 -CP -2) and
has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley:
1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved.
2. That the Village Clerk ;,shall prepare and cause to be inserted in
THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS and THE CONSTRUCTION BULLETIN an Advertisement for
Bids for making of such improvements under such approved plans and specifi-
cations. The advertisement shall be published once in each of said publi-
cations no less than three weeks before the last day for submission of bids,
shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids shall be opened and
considered by the Village Manager, Clerk and Engineer at 11:00 o'clock A.M.,
May 25, 1967, in the Council Chambers and that no bids shall be considered
unless sealed and filed with the Village Clerk and accompanied by a cash
deposit, money order, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable
to the Village Clerk for five per cent (5%) of the amount of such bid.
Said bids shall be considered by the Village Council at its meeting on
June 7, 1967, at 8:00 otclock P. M. in the Council Chambers in the Civic
Center.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Bies, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor
thereof: Bies, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted
against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and
adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
