Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED
its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Storm Sewer - 67 -SS -4)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some
other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as
follows: $391,624.86
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public
hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 8, 1967,
and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated June 15, 1967.
Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

Notice is hereby given that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 19, 1967, at
8:00 o'clock, P.M., in the Council chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden
Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on
a proposed public improvement.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvement
will be $391,624.86.
The type of improvement and the areas where said improvement will
be constructed and which it serves is as follows:

Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 29, Township 118, Range 21,
thence East along the North line thereof a distance of four thousand one
hundred fifty (4,150) feet; thence South parallel to the east line of said
Section 29 to Sandburg Road; thence So'dthwesterly to a point in the Minnesota
Northern and Southern Railroad right of way distant two thousand (2,000) feet
Northwesterly from Douglas Drive as measured along the centerline of said
railroad right-of-way; thence Northwesterly along said centerline to the South

easterly along the Northwesterly line of said Lot 9 and its Northeasterly
extension to the most Northerly corner of Lot 10 in said Block 2; thence
Northwesterly along the Westerly line of Lot 13, Block 2, RichlAnd Hills and
itsNortherly extension to the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 2 Richland Hills;

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
Member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof; Bies,Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following
voted against the same; None, whereupon slid resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Clerk.
