its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Storm Sewer - 67 -SS -5)
BE IT RESOLVED BY the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws
of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed
public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice in-
cluded in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some
other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as
follows: $118,098.58
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein.
4* The clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 8, 1967, and
the last of said publications to be in the issue dated June 15, 1967. Such
notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 19, 1967 at
8:00 o'clock, P.M., in the Council chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden
Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on
a proposed public improvement.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvement
will be $148,098.58.
The type of improvement and the areas where said improvement will be
constructed and which it serves is as follows:

Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of the Minneapolis, North-
field and Southern Railroad right-of-way and the centerline of Douglas Drive;
Thence South along said street centerline to the South line of Block 1,
Arnold J. Andersons 1st Addition; Thence, West along the South line thereof
to Florida Avenue; Thence South along Florida Avenue to the Easterly ex-
tension of the South line of Lot 180, Belmont; Thence Westerly along the
South line of Lots 172 thru 180, Belmont to Hampshire Avenue; Thence South
along Hampshire Avenue to the Easterly extension of the South line of Lot
267, Belmont; Thence Westerly along the South line of Lots 262 thru 267,
Belmont, to the Southwest corner of Lot 262, Belmont; Thence South to Plymputh

21 to the North line of the South one-half (S2) of said Section 29; Thence
Easterly along said North line to the centerline of the Minneapolis North-
field & Southern Railroad right-of-way; Thence Southeasterly along the
centerline of said railroad right-of-way to the East line of said Section
29, being the point of beginning and there terminating.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof; Bies, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following
voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly
passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the
Clerk.
