Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED
its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Storm Sewer - 67 -SS -6)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of
Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public
improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in
Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising
it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible
and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some
other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as
follows: $41,943.92.
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the
form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on the proposed public improvement as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time,
place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks
in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first
of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated June 8, 1967, and
the last of said publications to be in the issue dated June 15, 1967. Such
notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 5, 1967,
at 8:00 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village
for the purpose of holding a public improvements.
The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of this improvement will
be $41,943.92•
The type of improvement and the area where said improvement will be construct-
ed and which it will serve is as follows:

Commencing at the intersection of the centerline of Golden Valley Road and
the East line of Section 28, Township 118, Range 21; thence Southwesterly
Resolution No. 326 Julyl8, 1967
along the centerline of Golden Valley Road to its intersection with the
Southerly extension of the West line of Lot 3, Auditors Subdivision No. 3146;
Thence Northerly along said Southerly extension and West line of said Lot 3
to the Northwest corner therof; Thence Westerly along the North line of Lot
4; Thence Northerly, parallel to the East line of Lot 20, Auditors Subdivision
No. 3146, to the South line of Hipps Graceful Plaza Addition (North line of
St. Croix Avenue); Thence East along said South line to its intersection
with the Southerly extension of the East line of Lot 3, Block 1, Hipps Graceful
Plaza Addition; Thence Northerly along said Southerly extension and East line
of said Lot 3, to the Northeast corner thereof; Thence Easterly along the
North line of Hipps Graceful Plaza Addition (south line of CSAH No. 66) and
its easterly extension, to its intersection with the East line of Section 28,
Township 118, Range 21; Thence South along the East line of said Section 28,
to the point of beginning.
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed
improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority
granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is
proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above
description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting
on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and,
railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the
above described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or
line described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public
hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improve-
ments, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Stockman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof; Bies, Garis, Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the follow
ing voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared
duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by
the Clerk.
