#336 08-15-67 Provide Improvements Bituminous Surfacing 67-BS-40 Thru 41:1.14 Resolution No. 336 August 15, 1967 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Bituminous Surfacing - 67 -BS -40, 43, 41) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice in- cluded in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising that in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some tither improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvements; $9,537.72 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the the of holding a form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for purpose public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described herein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated August 24, 1967, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated August 31, 1967. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED BITUMINOUS SURFACING 67 -BS -4o, 67- BS -43, 67 -BS -41 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on September 5, 1967, at 8:00 p.m. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village( for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public im- provements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvements will be $9,537.72. BITUMINOUS SURFACING From Hampshire Ave. T.H. 12 T.H. 55 August 15, 1967 To Florida Avenue Laurel Avenue 6th Ave. North In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the Improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abut- ting on streets or lines described ,above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located; in or abutting on the above proposed public improvements, if any there be.
