#344 09-05-67 Provide Street Lighting 67-RSL-64 Resolution No. 344 September 5, 1967 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Residential Street Lighting - 67 -RSL -6) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising that in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvements: $176.77 per year. 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described herein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS the official newspaper of the Village, the first of;said publications to be in.the issue of said paper dated September 14, 1967 and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated September 21, 1967. Such notice shall be in 'substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALLEY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS - 67 -RSL -6 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on October 3, 1967, at 8:00 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public im- provements. The Village Engineer estimates that the annual cost of the improve- ment will be $176.77. The type of improvement and the area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: 1 1 J Resolution No. 344 Whiteacres and also all that part of the 19, Twonship 29, Ranger 24, lying South Railroad and Westerly and Northwesterly Southern Railroad right-of-way. September 5, 1967 North one-half (Nz) of Section of the Minneapolis and St. Louis of the Minneapolis Northfield and IN Conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro- posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the author- ity granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets dr lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improve- ments, if any there be.
