#361 10-03-67 Provide Improvements Street Lighting 67-RSLS-6142 a. Resolution No. 361 October 3, 1967 Member Teresi introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING - 67 RSL 6) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain propesed public improvemnets within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising that in a preliminary way that the proposed public improve- ments are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: TOTAL COST OF IMPROVEMENTS: $645.40 3• The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described herein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official mewspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated October 12, 1967, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated October 19, 1967. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: VILLAGE OF GOLDEN VALIEY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 67 RSL 6 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on November 7, 1967, at. 8:00 P.M. at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the annual cost of the improvement will be $615.40. The type of improvement and the area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: 142 b Resolution No. 361 October 3, 1967 67 RESIDENTIAL STREET LIGHTING 6 Whiteacres and also all that part of the North one-half (N1-2) of Section 29, Township 29, Range 24, lying south of the Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad and westerly and northwesterly of the Minneapolis Northfield and Southern Railroad right-of-way. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, teh Village Council proposed to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
