Member Stockman introduced and read the following resolution:
RESOLUTION
CALLING FOR THE PLACING ON THE BALLOT
OF THE ISSUE OF
SUNDAY SALES OF LIQUOR AT CERTAIN HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS
PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 691 OF THE 1967 SESSION LAWS
OF THE MINNESOTA LEGISLATURE
WEREAS, it is hereby found desirable and expedient for the
Village of Golden Valley to place before the voters the question of
whether the Village shall, pursuant to the provisions of the Minnesota
Session Laws of 1967, Chapter 691, cause to be issued special licenses
whereby restaurants and hotels within the corporate limits of the
Village of Golden Valley which qualify under the said Chapter may
serve liquor to their patrons on Sunday, as set out in the aforesaid
Session Laws, and
11HEREAS, the question of issuing such licenses could be
submitted to the voters by placing it on the ballot at the general
election to be held on December 5, 1967, at the places and time
established for such general election, NOW, THEREFORE, IT RESOLVED
that the following proposition:
Shall the Village of Golden Valley (Pursuant to the authority
provided by Chapter 691 of the Mineesota Session laws of 1967) issue
special licenses to certain qualifying hotels and restaurants within
the Village (as defined in said Chapter 691) allowing them to serve
intoxicating liquor on Sundays between the hours of 12:00 Noon and
12:00 Midnight
be submitted to the registered voters
at the general election to be held on

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded
by Member Teresi and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Garis,Nadasdy, Stockman, and Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution
was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his
signature attested by the Clerk.
