#374 11-21-67 Provide Improvements Watermain 68-WM-5Resolution No. 374 November 21, 1967 Member Bies introduced and read the followingwritten resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Proposed Watermain - 68 19M 5) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: $26,508.50 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks ain THE GOLDEN VALLEY PRESS, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated November 30, 1967, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated December 7, 1967. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OIT PROPOSED WATERMAIN IMPROVEMEIUT 68 wM 5 i1OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on December 19, 1967, at 7:sO P.M., at the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on certain proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvement will be $26,508.50. The type of improvement and the area where said improvement will be constructed and which it will serve is as follows: Resolution No. 374 No. WATERMAIN From November 21, 1967 TO 68 1)7M 5 On the South side of Wayzata Boulevard from (T.H. NO.12) Boone Avenue South to the East line of Murri-mac Industrial Park Addition - Replat. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Session Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvement is proposed to be assessed for such improvement as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and and railroad rights-of-way and public property located in or abutting on the above-described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
