#402 02-20-68 Approve Automatic Semaphore Signals204 Resolution No. 102 February 20, 1968 Member Bies introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, a continuing hazardous situation exists respecting both vehicular and pedestrian traffic at Golden Valley Road and Noble Avenue in the Village of Golden Valley, and WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley is of the collective opinion that the installation of semaphore signals at said intersection would alleviate the aforesaid critical situation; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley unanimously petitions the Hennepin County Board of Commissinners to cause automatic semaphore signals to be installed at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Noble Avenue, such action to be taken promptly before any further unnecessary risk of human fatalities be incurred and the cost to be equitably pro -rated 1/3 to Golden Valley and 2/3 to Hennepin County based upon two legs of traffice from the County Highway and one leg from a Golden Valley municipal street. Playor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Carlson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk. 1 1
