#414 04-02-68 Provide MCSA 522, 68-BS-14, 68-CG-10, 68-BS-5, 68-CG-11218 Resolution No. 414 April 2, 1068 Member Stockman introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (MCSA 522 - 68 BS 14, 68 CG lo, 68 BS a5, 68 CG 11) (Hennepin County Project 6508) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398, Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvement, and has given his estimated cost of the improvements as follows: Total Cost of Improvement: $51,679.11 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two suc- cessive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated April 11, 1968, and the last of said publications to be in the issue, ,dated April 18,__>;968. ; Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT MCSA 522-67BS14, 67CG 10 67 BS15, 67 CG 11 Hennepin County Project 6508 NOTICE IS HEREB Y GIVEN THAT the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on April 23, 1968, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on a proposed public improvement. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improve- ments will be $51,679.11. 2 ,1 Resolution No. 414 April 2, 1968 The type of improvement and the areas where said improvements will be con- structed and which they serve are as follows: Grading, base, storm sewer, concrete curb and gutter, bituminous surfacing, and traffic signal system on Winnetka Avenue North from Winsdale Street to Medicine Lake Road; and also on Medicine Lake Road from a point 225 feet west of the centerline of Winnetka Avenue to a point 415 feet East of the Centerline of Winnetka Avenue North. In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the proposed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the authority granted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953, as amended. All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the above description, including all property within the described areas and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all railroad property and rail- road rights of way and public property located in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above, the hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their ob- jections to such proposed public improvements, if any there be.
