and MOVED its adoption:
RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
(Proposed Curb and Gutter - 68CG 2,3,4,5,8,9,12 and 13,
Proposed Bituminous Surfacing - 68BS 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,11,12,
13,16,17, and 18 - Proposed Grading and Graveling -
68 GG 2 - Proposed Sanitary Sewer - 68 LF 4 and
Proposed Watermain - 68 WM 1,3,4,6,8,9, and 10)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden
Valley, Minnesota, as follows:
1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session
Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain
proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form
of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof.
2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council
advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements
are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in
connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated
cost of the improvements as follows:
$170,677.13
3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified
in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof Por the purpose
of holding a public hearing on the proposed public hearing on the
proposed public improvements as described therein.
4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of
the time, place and pubpose of said meeting to be published for two
successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper
of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue
of said paper dated , 1968, and the last
of said publications to be in the issue dated ,
1968. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE VILLAGE COUNCIL of the VILLAGE of
Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on May 7, 1968,
at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center,
7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a
public hearing on proposed public improvement.

Resolution No. 418 April 16, 1968
In conducting said public hearing for making its decision on the pro-
posed improvements, the Village Council proposes to proceed under the
authoritygranted by Chapter 398, Minnesota Laws of 1953 as amended.
All property within the Village which is benefited by the improvements
is proposed to be assessed for such improvements as set forth in the
above description including all property within the described areas
and/or abutting on streets or lines described above and including all
railroad property and railroad rights-of-way and public property located
in or abutting on the above described streets, lines and areas.
All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets
or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public
hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public
improvements, if any there be.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded
by Member Bies and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted
in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the
following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was
declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature
attested by the Clerk.
