#429 05-21-68 Provide Bituminous Surfacing 68-BS-20 Thru 30 Curb and Gutter 68-CG-16 thru 20Resolution No. 429 May 21, 1968 Member Garis introduced and read the following written resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON CERTAIN PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (Proposed Bituminous Surfacing - 68 BS 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29 & 30 Proposed Curb and Gutter - 68 CG 16,17,19,20 Proposed Watermain - 68 WM 12,13,14 and Proposed Sanitary Sewer - 68 LF 6,8) BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Minnesota, as follows: 1. In conformity with the provisions of Chapter 398 Session Laws of Minnesota, 1953, this Council proposed to construct certain proposed public improvements within the Village as stated in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof. 2. The Engineer for the Village has reported to the Council advising it in a preliminary way that the proposed public improvements are feasible and that they should best be made as proposed and not in connection with some other improvements, and has given his estimated cost of the improve- ments as follows: $180,330.76 3. The Council shall meet at the time and place specified in the form of notice included in Paragraph 4 hereof for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the proposed public improvements as described therein. 4. The Clerk is authorized and directed to cause notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting to be published for two successive weeks in THE GOLDEN VALLEY SUN, the official newspaper of the Village, the first of said publications to be in the issue of said paper dated 31 1968, and the last of said publications to be in the issue dated ,1968. Such notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS 68BS20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30;68CG16,17,19,20;68WM12,13,14;68LF6,8. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley, Hennepin County, Minnesota, will meet on June 18, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. CDST in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center, 7800 Golden Valley Road, in said Village for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed public improvements. The Village Engineer estimates that the entire cost of the improvements will be $180,330.76. All owners of such property in the areas and abutting upon the streets or lines described above are hereby notified to be present at said public hearing and to make known their objections to such proposed public improve- ments, if any there be. Mayor Attest Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Stock.Tan and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Clerk. 1 2.43'
