#444 06-18-68 Approve Changes Concrete Curb and Gutter 68-CG-16, 17262 Resolution No. 444 June 18, 1968 Member Garis introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.041, SUBD. 7 (Concrete Curb and Gutter - 68 CG 16, 17) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for proposed concrete curb and gutter construction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into on June 4, 1968, with C. G. Beckman, for public improvements 68 CG 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12 & 13; 68 - GG 2; 68 IF 4, and 68 WM 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10 & 11) and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price of $28,011.50; and WHEREAS, on June 18, 1968, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvement 68 CG 16, 17); and WHEREAS, the aforesaid improvement 68 CG 16 and 17 does not, on the same basis, price exceed 25% of the original contract price; The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the contract of June 4, 1968, awarded to C. G. Beckman for 68 CG 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12 & 13; 68 GG 2; 68 LF 4; and 68 wM 1, 3, 45 63 89 9, 10 & 11 so as to include the include the additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements 68 CG 16, 17 when the said contractors shall have furnished the contractor's bonds in the amount of the additional work as required by law. Mayor Attest: Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Stockman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof; Bies, Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the.same: None, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
