#454 07-02-68 Approve Contract Watermain 68-WM-16 and Sanitary Sewer 68-LF-9Resolution No. 454 July 2, 1968 Member Stockman introduced the following resolution and MOVED its adoption: RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CONTRACT CHANGES PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES 429.041, SUBD. 7 (Proposed Watermain - 68 WM 16 and Proposed Sanitary Sewer - 68 LF 9) WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for proposed watermain and sanitary sewer construction and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for its approval, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley: 1. That such plans and specifications are hereby approved. 2. WHEREAS, a certain contract was entered into on May 21, 1968, with McDonald & Associates, Incorporated, for public improvements 68 SS 1 & 2, 68 LF 3 & 5, and 68 WM 2 and 7 and 68 GG 1, and awarded on a unit price basis with a total contract price of $181,824.80; and WHEREAS, on July 2, 1968, the Village Council of the Village of Golden Valley did order construction of proposed public improvements 68 WM 16 and 68 LF 9; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid improvements 68 WM 16 and 68 LF 9 do not, on the same price basis, exceed 25% of the original contract price; The Mayor and the Village Clerk are hereby authorized to change the contract of May 21, 1968, awarded to McDonald & Associates, Incorporated, for public improvements 68 SS 1 & 2, 68 LF 3 & 5, and 68 WM 2 and 7 and 68 GG 1, so as to include the additional units of work at the same unit price providing for the construction of public improvements 68 WM 16 and 68 LF 9 when the said contractor shall have furnished the contractor's bond in the amount of the additional work as required by law. Attest: Mayor r Village Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Garis, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor theveof: Carlson, Garis, Stockman, and Teresi; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted, signed by the Mayor and his signature attested by the Village Clerk.
